That's the trouble with being alone, always being prone to your forcedly pushed-aside thoughts/emotions, no matter how hard you distract yourself. Even Copeland couldn't keep me from thinking about you. If anything, they fed it.
I do not want to think about you. I do not want to remember how good you were to me. I don't want the guilt or the regret.
Let me forget, like I have been doing for a while. Let me keep floating on safe waters; the drowning might do me in. I'm doing good trying to stay away. It's better this way. Much better.
